Lazaroo – Saturday, April 18, 2009

Apr 18, 2009 I Lazaroo.

“Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.”
(Lamentations 1:2)

I can relate, Jesus.

I know what it’s like to shed bitter tears.

I’ve experienced betrayal, too.  I know what it is to feel the sharp stab of a dagger in my back…only to discover on its handle the fingerprints of one I believed with all my heart to be my close friend.

And that’s the truth.

But it’s not the whole truth.

You know me.

You know my bitterest tears are those I’ve shed over what I’ve done to myself.

You know the sharpest dagger I ever pulled from my body…is one whose handle bore my own fingerprints.

Not my brother, not my sister, but it’s me, O LORD…

…standing in the need of prayer.

Thank you so much for your humble spirit, John, Abby and Jenniel. There’s no stopping people as hungry to grow as you!
