Lazaroo – Friday, February 5, 2010
Feb 05, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with faith-filled humility:
“And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.”
(Romans 1:6)
This is deeply humbling, Jesus.
And terrifying.
Ultimately, my salvation isn’t up to me.
I have to be called.
By You.
In fact, I don’t even have the ability to come to You
unless Your heavenly Father draws me.
But the very fact that when I heard the good news of Your salvation, I
came to You
called on You
confessed with my mouth that You are Lord
believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead
means You have called me!
I’m in.
No, the last chapter hasn’t been written.
I know I’ve got to endure through every trial, heartache, doubt, fear and attack of Satan.
But I will.
Because You are the one who will keep me strong
all the way to the end.

All these Scripture verses show us that it is God who called us and enabled us to even come to Him because of the work of the Holy Spirit and nothing that we have done. It is all the work of the Lord’s Grace. The Bible clearly tells us that there is NONE who seeks after God. It is comforting to know that the Lord will carry out the good work that He has begun in us till the day of Jesus’ coming back for us!! Thanks, Pastor Steve, for reminding us of the awesome work that God does in our lives when calling us out of darkness into His marvelous light!!!
