Lazaroo – Friday, July 23, 2010

Jul 23, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with outrageous adoration:

“I ask that we love one another.”
(2 John 1:5)

That’s not exactly a small request, Jesus.

Second only to loving You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength

it’s the whole ball of wax
it’s everything.

You make it clear that if I don’t love others

I don’t know You at all.

In fact, You go so far as to say if I claim to love You but hate my brother –

obnoxious and detestable though he may be –

I’m a liar
I don’t love you at all.

That thought terrifies me!

But You also turn it around –

You assure me that if I truly love other believers

You live in me
Your love is made complete in me.

And it gets even better –

You tell me that if I live in love
I live in You

and You…

live in me.

Love is what I want to do in my life. But sometimes I find myself not doing that. Wow big step for all of us…loving everyone is a big order to handle. I just prey to the Lord to help me in this task, and fogive me when I fail.
