Lazaroo – Friday, June 14, 2013

Jun 14, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in Christ-honoring adoration:

“I acquired men and women singers…”
(Ecclesiastes 2:8)

That’s something only kings and rich people used to be able to do, Jesus.
Now, nearly everybody can acquire men and women singers –

on CDs
DVDs
televisions
smart phones
Twitter
Facebook
iTunes
Pandora
YouTube.

Never before has there been so much music

so beautifully done
so perfectly recorded
so inexpensively produced
made available to so many.

You’re the Inventor of music.

You’re the one who allows humans to perceive a succession of notes

as a tune.

You’re the one who gives us the ability

to sing
play an instrument
record an album
create a music video

distribute invisible sound waves through thin air

which come out as perfectly rendered music
a thousand miles away.

So I’ve got to ask You:

Are You pleased with what we’re singing and playing?

Are You pleased with the music I’m making…

to which I’m listening?

The church I attend is helping youngsters grow in their love for Jesus with the Christian music that is performed there. It is alive and so are these kids and the Lord can put that same joy into the older folks also. We are to wordhip and rejoice in our worship of Him … He tells us Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say Rejoice. Philippians 4:4
