Lazaroo – Friday, June 3, 2011
Jun 03, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humble awareness:
“Then when the king’s edict is proclaimed throughout all his vast realm, all the women will respect their husbands, from the least to the greatest.”
(Esther 1:20)
Did these so-called “wise men” actually believe this, LORD? –
that all the king had to do was issue a proclamation
and immediately all the wives of his vast kingdom would snap to
and automatically respect their husbands?
The arrogance of people in power hasn’t changed much, has it?
Amazing.
It’s one thing to use brute force
to make somebody act in a certain way
on the outside.
It’s quite another thing for a person to freely choose that action
from a willing heart.
No one – not even a king –
could speak words that would make millions of women treat
their flawed
frequently irritating
sometimes lazy
all too often self-centered husbands
with sincere, wholehearted respect.
No king but one, Jesus –
You.

Steven Henderson Says:
Husbands you have the greater burden in that, as I read it ,I/we am/are to lay down my/our life for our wife. Adultry and spouse abuse, whether verbal or physical, or both, is seemlingly rampant in this country. I would suggest that this instruction to female VICTIMS be balance with the command to husbands of …lay down your life as Christ dis.
