That day is coming, Jesus.

I believe it.

But I don’t want to wait for it to arrive.

Because I love You with everything in me
because You deserve it – and so much more –

I want to make it happen now.

Back in the day, You told Your people how much fragrant incense meant to You –

telling them to mix it with most of their offerings.

Thousands of years later, You revealed why:

It reminds You of the prayers of Your people.

Wow.

Every time I open my mouth to talk with You

praying with absolute sincerity

in transparent, no-holds-barred purity of heart

it’s like sweet-smelling fragrance to You
bringing You joy.

That’s all I need to know

to bring it.
