Lazaroo – Friday, May 13, 2011

May 13, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in dumfounded amazement:

“I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.”
(Romans 1:14)

What a stunning insight, Jesus!

Everybody matters.
Everything matters.

You stoop down to make me great

and You use absolutely every shred
of every aspect of my life
to make that happen.

Every good person who has influenced my life

has been a gift from You.

But not only that!

You are even now transforming and reshaping into pure gold
all the terrible things every evil person has ever done to me.

It’s all grist for Your mill

the good
the bad
the ugly.

There’s no decision I can reach
no move I can make

that You cannot and will not orchestrate for my good
for the advancement of Your kingdom on earth
for the realization of Your purposes throughout eternity.

Knowing that makes me feel unimaginably small

and inconceivably important.

How humbled I am when I stand alone at night , stair at the heavens above and contemplate the universe. Just knowing that the God of all eternity weaves the details of my life, that he is intimately aware of who I am and works for the good of my life. Even when life feels terrible, I am often overwhelmed at his goodness to me. This body, created from the dust of the earth, given the breath of life, glorifies and exalts him who was, and is, and is to come. Let us strive to accomplish his will, so that on that great day we may lay our crowns at his feet. For he has conquered death, forgiven us of our sins and called us to be his own, having payed the ultimate price for you and I. To him, Jesus Christ, be all glory and all the honor forever and ever Amen!!
