Lazaroo – Friday, November 19, 2010
Nov 19, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with increasingly sweet awareness:
“Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.”
(Job 1:12)
That’s what he does, isn’t it, Jesus?
Satan can only bear to be around You for a short while
then he’s ready to leave.
Darkness hates the light
Your light exposes what is done in the dark.
Righteousness and wickedness have nothing in common.
When they get together
they have very little to talk about.
But You’ve called me out of darkness
into Your wonderful light!
Not for a brief, sun-drenched visit
but for all eternity.
No more sowing wild oats
I’m discovering the unexpected pleasures of self-control.
No more lies, rumors, half-truths, exaggeration
The only thing that interests me is
the truth
the whole truth
nothing but the truth.
No more hatred
You’ve called me to a life of love.
No more night.
I belong to the day.
