Lazaroo – Friday, October 14, 2011

Oct 14, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with no-holds-barred surrender:

“…he must be…one who loves what is good…”
(Titus 1:7-8)

That’s who I long to be, Jesus!

a person who loves what You call good.

I’m painfully aware that some people call what is good “evil”

and label what is evil “good.”

I know that’s abhorrent to You

turning Your purposes upside-down
desecrating the purity of Your design

the ultimate perversion.

Am I doing that anywhere, LORD?

Is there anything in the Bible You’ve declared off-limits
that I excuse, praise, admire, enjoy or think is cool?

Is there anything in Your Word You highly value
that I shun, ridicule, ignore or flat-out disobey?

Please show me!

That’s not who I want to be.

I don’t want to merely obey You reluctantly

on the outside –
solely by my actions.

I want to obey You wholeheartedly
on the inside –

out of my deepest desires
from my heart.

Amen .. and the upside-down world especially very apparent today .. also shows us in His kindness that the church age people will be called soon .. we want to be ready to meet our Savior with a pleasing offering.
