Lazaroo – Friday, October 9, 2009

Oct 09, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul:

“Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brothers did not have many children; so their entire clan did not become as numerous as the people of Judah.”
(1 Chronicles 4:27)

This guy Shimei sure did his share to build up the clan, Jesus!

But he had absolutely no control over what his brothers did.

As a result, they were considered…less.

Could You and I talk about what happened to him for a minute, LORD? This kind of unfairness is tough for me to handle –

especially when it happens to me.

It’s bad enough when others know what’s going on.

But sometimes no one knows.

Sometimes others get the credit for what I’ve done

and I get the blame for what they didn’t do.

When that happens, it eats me alive.

Until I remember that

You see
You know

And one day You

will right every wrong.

As well intended as this is, it doesn’t provide me with any comfort. The “earthy” side of me says, “Not good enough!,” while the “spirit” side of me says, “EVERY wrong? That doesn’t bode well for me.”
