Lazaroo – Friday, September 16, 2011
Sep 16, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with mind-blowing trust:
“Zechariah asked the angel, ‘How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.’ The angel answered, ‘I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time.’”
Luke 1:18-20
I’m sure Zechariah knew the story of Gideon, Jesus.
When Your angel gave Gideon good news, Gideon ran the angel through a whole battery of tests –
and was rewarded for it.
But when Zechariah asks Your angel for a little confirmation of his good news –
Gabriel takes away his ability to speak.
Thanks for this reminder –
not to compare myself with anyone else.
