Lazaroo – Monday, April 27, 2015

Apr 27, 2015 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo with every fiber of your being:

“…a day of clouds and blackness…”
(Zephaniah 1:15)

I’ve had my share of days like that, Jesus –

clouds and blackness.

Sometimes it feels like in Your generosity

You’ve added in someone else’s share. 😉

The question is:

What do I do with them?

I’m tempted to hunker down, curl up in the fetal position

pray for them to go away.

But is that why You’ve given them to me?

Or is it to stand tall
look them straight in the eye
grab them by the scruff of their scrawny necks

and overcome by faith.

    Hey, Steve ~

I’ve been AWOL for awhile – not for any bad reasons.

I am in a graduate program, and a certain research class is required, for which a statistics prerequisite is also required. But I have a LOT to learn in order to take the prereq … a LOT, as in four years of high school math [I have been raising our children for 27 years, got BA in 1981]. Then I can take the prereq, and, finally, take the research course.

This has had me ‘down’ for months (almost in the fetal position 🙂 ), as learning math is simply not how I want to spend a huge chunk of my life at this point; I just want to utilize my gifts and talents to counsel, as the Lord has called me.

Well, today’s Lazaroo confirms yesterday’s new attitude of determination to stand tall, look this thing in the eye, and overcome it by faith. I know nothing in this life goes to waste as far as God is concerned, so here goes ….

    Thank you, as always!
