Lazaroo – Monday, August 12, 2013
Aug 12, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with every fiber of your being:
“For there are many…mere talkers…”
(Titus 1:10)
Truer words were never spoken, Jesus.
When all is said and done
more is said than done.
I’ve lost track of the number of times people told me something would happen
that never did.
I’ve had promises made to me
that weren’t kept.
I’ve heard people make lots of confident predictions
that went unfulfilled.
I’ve watched as people laid careful, elaborate plans
that were never realized.
Too much talk
not enough action.
It hurts.
It dashes expectations.
It turns hopeful people into cynics.
It tempts once trusting people
to tune everybody out.
I’m about to conclude:
it’s far better to say nothing and do something
than say something and do
absolutely nothing.
Not me.
Not anymore.
From this moment forward, I intend to under-promise
and over-perform.
But of course…
that’s easy for me
to say.

I like this .. especially under-promise and over-perform; because God is the only one necessary with the knowledge to know which is which.
