Lazaroo – Monday, August 3, 2009

Aug 03, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in hope-filled adoration:

“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you.”
(Colossians 1:3)

Who’s thanking You for me, Jesus?

Anybody?

I hope so.

I would like to think I’m making such a difference in the lives of others that they are filled with gratitude to You

for me.

It’s not that I need their thanks. That’s not why I’m trying to help them.

At least, I hope it isn’t.

But it would give me a great deal of satisfaction to think that what I’m doing might bring praise to You.

After all…if I’m any good to anybody –

It’s all because of You.

Every bit of the good anyone receives through me comes straight from You.

So next time I do something for someone who doesn’t thank me…

please help me be content with the possibility that instead

they might be thanking You.

Thanks to God, I finally “get” this. It’s okay for someone not to thank you or acknowledge something you’ve done for them. They might be thanking God for you. And if they are not, God knows your heart and and appreciates it and it glorifies Him. hat’s all that matters –that you are making a difference for Him. And we can thank God for the opportunity to serve Him because we get to be a part of what He is doing.

Thank you, Steve, for helping me think /reflect and be able to “minister” to others. I pass on your messages via email to friends and family as the message seems to fit.
