Lazaroo – Monday, February 25, 2013

Feb 25, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with bated breath:

“This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.’”
(Haggai 2:6)

When You shake things up, Jesus…

nothing is ever the same.

This promised “shaking” leaves nothing unscathed:

heavens
earth
sea
dry land.

That pretty much covers Your entire creation.

What could You possibly do that would shake up all that?

Well…I guess You could destroy everything

and start over –

which is exactly what You’ve declared You will do

“…in a little while.”

The mere thought of that shakes me up!

I know this world is flawed, Father.

But I have to tell You, I’m in awe of its beauty.

I love this planet!
I love looking up into the nighttime sky!

The thought of losing it grieves me…

until I begin to imagine Heaven and Earth

Hey, Shannon – bless Silas’ heart! I can only imagine what he’s feeling. I will absolutely pray for this young man, that God will grant him peace – based on his trust in God, who knows best. Silas’ anguish reminds me that in some respects, when God calls us to change, we all struggle over the same thing: We focus so hard on what we have…that we fail to embrace what God has in store for us, if we only step out in faith…and believe.
