Lazaroo – Monday, February 7, 2011
Feb 07, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in stunned worship:
“Her fall was astounding; there was none to comfort her.”
(Lamentations 1:9)
“Astounding falls” happen to the strong, don’t they, Jesus?
to those “most likely to succeed”
the “winners.”
Astounding falls don’t happen to those everybody calls “losers.”
We expect –
the weak to fall
the poor to stay that way
the uneducated not to figure it out
the marginalized to remain on the sidelines
the sinners to keep right on sinning
the clueless to still not get it
the addicts to remain in love with their chains
the most deeply flawed among us to blow it yet again.
So when You stoop down from heaven
reach down into the trash bin of society
lift up the head of some “loser” everybody has written off
and choose them to do something absolutely awesome
their rise from nowhere astounds us.
O God.
Please.
Do that in me.

Steve ~
I love Lazaroo! Your work is so very inspired by the Holy Spirit, and he seems to have something for me every day that I visit (I’m trying to make it to Lazaroo every single day).
As I give Him more of me, He gives me more of Him, and your column encourages me to go to Him, for I know He will speak to me through it.
Thank you so much for your dedication to your call. As you have been blessed, so you bless others.
Blessings,
