Lazaroo – Monday, January 2, 2012
Jan 02, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Submit yourself to your God, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“Stand up and say to them whatever I command you.“
(Jeremiah 1:17)
That “whatever” is huge, Jesus.
You’re not making a statement
giving me time to think about it
then asking me to pass it along
after I approve of its contents.
You’re asking me to sign a blank check.
You’ll fill in the amount…
later.
Well…
You’re not really “asking,” are You?
This is a command.
It has nothing to do with
whether or not I agree with the message
if I feel comfortable in sharing it
whether or not it makes me look good
if it’s compatible with my personality
if it fits nicely into my schedule.
I don’t get to mutter it either, do I?
I’ve got to “stand up” and say it –
clearly
uncompromisingly
unapologetically.
You’ve given Your all for me
You expect me to give no less for You.
