Lazaroo – Monday, January 25, 2010

Jan 25, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in utter amazement:

“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’”
(Genesis 1:26)

So that’s what I am, Jesus.

A ruler.

Wow.

Most days, it doesn’t feel like that’s what I am.

Not even remotely.

Oh, there may be a few animals I can “rule”…

but not very many –
nothing like all the creatures You describe.

And You didn’t stop there.

You said You created me to rule “over all the earth.”

Well, let’s just say…

I’m living somewhat beneath my birthright.

I can see I’m going to have to step it up.

Perhaps the best place to start

is to learn how to rule over

my own rebellious soul.

Pastor Steve: I used last Wednesday’s Scripture Habakkuk 1:5 and the supporting verses in a lesson at the Henderson County Detention Center last Thursday night. I was ministering to the women that night. God placed on my heart to share this. I used it to talk about the situation in Haiti right now and how God will do things to accomplish His purpose. We also talked about other things that are taking place in the world today. The Holy Spirit used this and 3 ladies gave their hearts to Jesus for the 1st time! Just wanted to share the good news! Thank you for your love for the Word of God and bringing it to us daily!!
