Lazaroo – Monday, July 2, 2012

Jul 02, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in confident desperation:

“…strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance…”
(Colossians 1:11)

That’s the kind of endurance I need, Jesus.

Great endurance.

I’ve already discovered –

the ordinary garden variety of endurance
isn’t enough.

Not nearly enough.

I can hang in there for a while…

but then it starts to get to me.

People approach me from all sides.
The issues keep stacking up.

On top of that
I begin to experience personal problems

challenges that negatively affect
my ability to handle everything else.

That’s about the time I throw up my hands and confess:

“It’s too much!
I can’t do this!”

Of course I’m aware of Your promise:

You won’t load me up with more than I can carry.

I’m just letting You know (as if You didn’t know already):

Right about now…

I could use some of that “power and glorious might.”
