Lazaroo – Monday, March 21, 2011

Mar 21, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in deepest gratitude:

Joel was the chief, Shapham the second, then Janai and Shaphat…”
(1 Chronicles 5:12)

Why do You do that, Jesus –

choose one of us to be the leader
somebody else to be second
others to be third and fourth

each charged with the daunting responsibility

to care for all the others –
to watch over them
make sure they have everything they need
lead them along the right path
defend them against all attackers?

Why did You create the idea of leadership?
Why not make us all the same –

every man, woman and child for himself/herself?

It’s not because our leaders are better than the rest of us, is it?

They’re not.

For the most part
they’re pretty much a reflection of who we are.

So why give us leaders?

It’s who You are, isn’t it?

Every time anyone leads us with

wisdom
compassion
gentleness

and love…

…it’s You.

I liked your thoughts on this scripture .. also it seems He is teaching us to care for each other as He cares for us. And His goal is maybe that we all will learn wisdom
    compassion
    gentleness
and love for each other … instead of wondering why we aren’t the leader ….
