Lazaroo – Monday, September 16, 2013
Sep 16, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with total transparency:
“At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.”
(Exodus 3:6)
How many times have I wished I could see You, Jesus?
I figured just one glimpse –
and all my unanswered questions would fade away.
“O God!” I cried.
“I beg You!
Show Yourself to me!”
When You didn’t, I was disappointed
but felt I understood:
I just wasn’t worthy.
Glimpses of You this side of heaven
are reserved for the great
not permitted for the likes of me.
But then You actually appear before one of those greats
and he’s too terrified to look.
All too often, when I think I know exactly what I need
I don’t have a clue.

Marie Thom Says:
I pray for His presence when I worship Him .. and when I feel that presence I know how much He loves us, .. but to see Him in our temporal state we wouldn’t be able to stand it and even though we are covered with “the blood” we would know how impure we were before a holy God and would probably disintegrate in fear and shame so God in His mercy keeps us from that. But someday we will see Him and know Him as He know us. Such a marvelous eternal gift awaits us.
