Lazaroo – Monday, September 26, 2011
Sep 26, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with new eyes:
“…we have conducted ourselves…not according to worldly wisdom but according to God’s grace.”
(2 Corinthians 1:12)
I haven’t always done that, Jesus.
Worldly wisdom has a certain logic to it.
It’s right there in front of my nose.
At times, it feels like everybody’s doing it.
And it works!
At least, it appears to…
…for awhile.
Worldly wisdom tells me to take care of myself first.
You tell me to put others ahead of myself.
Worldly wisdom tells me to eat, drink and party because I only go around once in life.
You tell me this earth is only the prequel to the main event –
eternity in heaven.
Worldly wisdom tells me it’s okay to lie, cheat and steal to get ahead – so long as I don’t get caught.
You tell me that You Are watching my every step –
cheering me on
eyes filled with love.

But it all comes down to one final thought … who do we want to please .. the world and others .. or our Savior who watches us with loving eyes.
