Lazaroo – Saturday, August 29, 2009

Aug 29, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with lavish love:

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
(3 John 1:4)

No wonder You chose this man to be one of Your 12 disciples, Jesus!

What huge insight this gives me into his character.

The greatest joy of his life wasn’t

sex
work
fame
sleep
family
sports
wealth
friends
hobbies
pleasure
relaxation
entertainment

His greatest joy was to hear that one of the people he had led to You

was still following You.

No wonder he dared to call himself, “the disciple whom Jesus loved.”

I’m almost afraid to ask this question…

What is my greatest joy?

What do the people who know me best think it is?

What do I believe it is?

Most importantly of all:

What do You know it is?

Show me.

And then – if need be –

Show me what I need to do about it.

Feel like I need to say something, but don’t know what to say. Ya gotta know it’s a God thing when the words are so tender, yet cut so deep.

Steve, you have definitely found the center of your “sweet spot” with Lazaroo. Keep ’em coming.
