Your Word is true, Jesus.
It stands alone.

When You say it
that settles it.

When You make a motion
You don’t need anyone to second it.

If all You do is say it one time

anywhere in the Bible
anywhere in history

That does it.
You don’t have to say it twice.
It’s as good as done.

But You say some pretty remarkable things
make some pretty amazing promises.

You’ve performed wonders, miracles –

stunning acts that defy the rules of nature
outside anything most people have ever personally

seen
heard
felt
experienced.

I long to believe You.

It’s just that I’ve heard so many people
tell so many lies

that I struggle.

So out of pure love…

You produce hundreds of eyewitnesses

who confirm it all.
