Lazaroo – Saturday, February 6, 2010

Feb 06, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with eyes wide open:

“As Moses had promised, Hebron was given to Caleb, who drove from it the three sons of Anak.”
(Judges 1:20)

This is a principle You’ve got to help me remember, Jesus:

Just as You promised

You gave the land of Hebron to Your fiery, 85 year-old servant Caleb.

But he still had to fight for it.

All too often, I get confused about Your promises.

When I read in the Bible that You’ve given something to me

I tend to think all I have to do is wait around

until You drop it into my open hand

fully assembled
in perfect working condition
without any effort on my part.

I have no doubt whatsoever that You are able to do that

and a whole lot more.

But this thing You and I have is a partnership, isn’t it?

You demand my best

and I get Yours.
