Lazaroo – Saturday, March 17, 2012
Mar 17, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in trembling anticipation:
“…his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.”
(Revelation 1:15)
No wonder billions of us are drawn like moths to a flame –
to the sound of a surging mountain stream
the descending crash of a spectacular waterfall
the explosive burst of an immense geyser
the hypnotic pounding of the ocean surf.
Each of them hints at the sound of Your voice, Jesus –
and oh, how I long to hear You!
even while the idea terrifies me.
After all, when the nation of Israel heard Your voice at Mount Sinai
Your voice was so powerful and majestic
they begged You never to speak directly to them again.
When the crowd heard Your Father’s reply to Your prayer
some thought it had thundered.
Wow.
I know I can’t grasp the immensity of what I’m asking:
but if You ever want to speak aloud to me…
I’ll risk it.

I think I will wait .. I would rather just enjoy his singing, He knows .. I sometimes startle at loud sounds 🙂 Zephaniah 3:17
