Lazaroo – Saturday, November 19, 2011

Nov 19, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Suck it up and pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed hope:

“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law…”
(Exodus 3:1)

That had to devastate him, Jesus.

Moses had spent nearly 40 years living in the palace of a king.
Until he was forced to flee for his life, he was wealthy and powerful.

He had been educated by the best tutors.
He had been brought up in the refined manners of high-society Egypt.

and now, here was, at the age of 80…

in charge of a flock of sheep.

They weren’t even his sheep!

Humiliatingly…they belonged to his father-in-law.

Forty years before, he had been on top of the world –

young, strong, confident.

Now, he was old
his spirit broken
terrified to speak publicly.

He thought he was used up.

Instead, he was finally ready to be used –

by You.

Is this why I’ve had to spend so much time on the backside of the desert?

But what great company to be in … Moses, Job etc, etc, etc. and others … and worthy to be used by our awesome God.
