Nov 23, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Dare to peer into the very depths of your soul, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“Then the anointed priest shall…dip his finger into the blood and sprinkle some of it seven times before the LORD…”
(Leviticus 4:5-6)
So much blood, Jesus.
Blood everywhere.
The very thought of it makes me recoil in disgust
which, of course, is the point.
It’s supposed to shock me…
into facing the stark horror of my sin.
Finally, You stopped all that animal blood-letting once for all
by shedding Your own blood for me on the cross.
Your love…covering my shame.
May I never, ever, ever forget.
