Lazaroo – Sunday, December 6, 2009

Dec 06, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in stunned awareness:

“And she made a vow, saying, ‘O LORD Almighty , if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.’”
(1 Samuel 1:11)

Forgive me for second-guessing this woman, LORD…

but what was the point?

Why would she ask You for something she had to return?

Why cry out to You for something she couldn’t keep?

Oh.

Yeah.

That pretty much covers everything on earth, doesn’t it?

I don’t get to keep any of this stuff.

Even the people who mean most to me.

They’re all on loan.

Everything goes back to You.

Of my own free will I can either give it

or You can take it.

Greetings; What a prayer! There is so much involved in this prayer.Hannah asked for a “boy”,not a child.Hannah vowed him to the Lord all his life and a razor shall not touch his head.Heavy stuff Jesus.Hannah truely ment to give this child away-back to the Lord, out of her hands.Lord Jesus, what a beautiful,Heart wrenching, sacrifice, but not as beautiful as Your sacrifice God.When I lose something dear to my heart, help me let it “go” with grace.I Iost 2 brothers and one sister, they were all I had Jesus, but what is worse,my father and mother lost 3 of 4 children.Jesus, teach us to let go ” with grace “.The Grace so needed to give back what is Yours to begin with.
