Lazaroo – Sunday, July 4, 2010
Jul 04, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with deep longing:
“The governor ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there was a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.”
(Ezra 2:63)
When I read about this mysterious Urim and Thummim
I have to admit I’m a little envious, Jesus.
To have such a clear-cut, concrete way of determining Your will would be awesome.
But apparently it wasn’t awesome enough.
Even though You gave Your people a foolproof way of knowing what You wanted them to do
they still disobeyed You.
That’s my problem, too.
No wonder You don’t give me the Urim and Thummim to guide me today!
You want me to refuse to conform to the pattern of this world
to be transformed by the renewing of my mind in Your Word.
Only then will I be able to test and approve
what Your good, pleasing and perfect will is
for my life.

Hi Steve, I look forward to receiving the Lazaroo everyday. They all have a very good message. I hope you continue to write them. You are such a good writer. I remember when we were kids and you said you wanted to be a writer when you grew up. Now I know why. May the Lord bless you and the church.
