Lazaroo – Sunday, June 6, 2010

Jun 06, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a heart full of gratitude to God:

“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number.’”
(Genesis 1:28)

What an exhilarating challenge, Jesus!

First, You expended an unimaginable amount of energy to create the perfect world for us to

get to know You
get to know ourselves
encounter the enemy of our souls

decide which of those three we will serve.

Then You blessed us.

After that, You gave us our assignment:

Make many more people
in Your image.

Well, we’ve done a fairly decent job of the physical part of our “be fruitful” assignment.

There are now seven billion of us on this planet –

although the real challenge isn’t making more people –

it’s making more people who look like You.

But even that pales by comparison to my biggest challenge of all:

offering myself
dedicating myself
disciplining myself

in Your love, wisdom and strength

to become more like You.

Yes, we all sometimes fall short of being disciplined, dedicated in praying , and ..studying God’s Word. Yet, if you can trully understand that God gives us grace and mercy for all those times that we should have but didn’t. It’s
a process that we must want to change on a daily basis.
God isn’t going to beat us over the head to change but the choice is always ours.If we claim that we are a reflection of his love, his grace, his mercy, we must do it God’s Way.
One of my favorite scriptures is found in 2 Corinthians 12:9. “My Grace is sufficient for you, My strength is made
perfect in weakness.” Be encourage Sam change has already be gone for you.
