Lazaroo – Sunday, October 28, 2012

Oct 28, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sold-out surrender:

“Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.”
(Acts 2:2)

What I wouldn’t have given to be there, Jesus –

the Day of Pentecost!
the birth of Your Church

Peter, James, John and all Your apostles
Your mother Mary

Your half-brothers –
the sons of Joseph who once doubted You

firm believers –
now that they’ve seen You resurrected from the dead

unprecedented miracles
huge implications for the future of the world.

But I wasn’t there.

That wasn’t my time.
I wouldn’t have fit.

You do all things well.
You knew the exact moment to bring me onstage –

to make my entrance
play my one-of-a-kind part
say my lines

make the full impact You’ve assigned to me.

So…I’m here.
Now.

No supernaturally violent wind filling this place.

Just me –
and You.

Actually…this is pretty sweet.

I’ll take it.

Right ..He has a specific “one of a kind” role for each of us. It will be different then the battle the disciples did so well. Since we are in the end times it will be a battle, a war but He is our Great General and with that it’s definitely “pretty sweet” no matter which way it takes us because we know where we will find ourselves when the battle is over.
