Lazaroo – Sunday, September 4, 2011

Sep 04, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning emotion:

“Those who live in Zaanan will not come out.”
(Micah 1:11)

This may be the ultimate embarrassment, Jesus.

Once upon a time, the citizens of this town came out of a place that was painful and detestable to them.

They were so thrilled to be free
so proud of their achievement

that they named their new home “Zanaan” –

which means, “come out.”

But now You have some devastating news for them.

Because they did not acknowledge that it was You who gave them their freedom

You are about to make their new home
as painful and detestable as the one they escaped

but this time, You won’t enable them to “come out.”

They won’t be able to live up to their own name.

I’ve escaped my old life, too
I’ve got a new name:

Yours.

I’m a “Christ-one” – a Christian.

Please, Jesus:

Help me live up to my name!

Amen, .. giving credit where credit is due .. Now & ultimately that is always God. I pray I live up to what He expects of me as His learning & growing child. Would never want to experience HIS Tough Love.
