Lazaroo – Thursday, April 4, 2013

Apr 04, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with excuseless humility:

“I would have liked to keep him with me…”
(Philemon 1:13)

I can identify, Jesus!

When I lose someone I love

through death
through transfer to another city
through a break in our relationship

it can be devastating.

Which is worse?

I started to say, “death,” but I’m not so sure.

When someone who believes in You dies

I’ll see them again.

They won’t return to me

I’ll go to them.

But when I experience a relational rift with someone I truly loved

I have no assurance I’ll ever get them back.

Although to the degree that it depends on me
so long as I don’t compromise Your Word

I’ve got to try.

Of course, if they belong to You, then just like after death

we’ll reconnect on the other side
once You’ve straightened us both out

transformed
to become like You!

  1. greg Says:

We behold ourselves when we behold Him. 2cor3vs18

When we see the Word of God, we see the face of our birth. James 1vs22-24

Created in the image and LIKENESS of our Father. Genesis 1vs26

Paul was a persecuter of Christ, but in the midst of that he says”when it pleased God to reveal His Son in me….”. Gal 1vs13-16

The mystery that was hidden for ages and generations has been revealed…..Christ in you the expectation of glory! Col 1vs26-27.

You are not a fixer upper. You carry the dna of the God of creation. The ugly duckling did not behold a potential swan when he saw his reflection in the water. He saw himself as he always was. Jesus didnt come as an example for us. He came as an example of us. The isrealites died in their unbelief because they believed the report of the ten spies instead of the two. Numbers 14-“….we are grasshoppers”. They perished in the wilderness because they believed a lie about themselves.
the lost coin never lost its original value.
