Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pure devotion:

“As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”
(2 John 1:6)

This comes as no surprise, Jesus.

People have been associating You with the idea of love
longer than I have been alive –
thousands of years.

But that’s not Your command.

You’re not telling me to associate You with love.
You’re not telling me to talk about love.
You’re not telling me to fall in love with the idea of love.

You’re telling me to walk in it
to live in it.

Nor is it a suggestion.

It’s Your command.

If I’m determined to be Your follower, Your disciple

it’s not an option.

It’s got to be my life.

No, wait a minute.
Not my life.

Yours.

If I’m going to truly walk in love

I’m going to have to stay intimately connected to You

every moment of this day.
