Lazaroo – Thursday, January 15, 2015

Jan 15, 2015 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with undiluted sincerity:

“He will work with your craftsmen…”
(2 Chronicles 2:14)

A person like that is invaluable, Jesus.

A lot of people want the focus to be on them.

But the true jewels among us are those who are willing to work as a team.

It’s hard to join a group of people who are already established –
unless that group has a warm, welcoming, inclusive spirit.

O God!

Help me be the kind of person who blends in with the team
doing my part…honoring those who do theirs.

And help me be the kind of person who welcomes newbies

making them feel right at home.

This prayer is so thought provoking. I wonder how many new people have left the church feeling they were not welcome or included into an “already established group”. My prayer is “God open my eyes and let me see others outside my circle – let me welcome them with a cheerful smile, a warm greeting, and, if needed, a listening ear and a kind word.”
