Lazaroo – Thursday, January 6, 2011

Jan 06, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pure devotion:

“Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the LORD…”
(1 Samuel 1:19)

That’s how I’m determined to start every day this year, Jesus:

worshiping You.

It doesn’t matter whether I slept well, slept poorly…

or not at all.

It doesn’t matter whether yesterday was a win, a bust…

or as usual, somewhere in-between.

It doesn’t matter what I expect this day to hold…

or if I don’t have a clue.

At the very outset of this day

You deserve my wholehearted worship
my undivided devotion
my total focus
my utter trust.

I don’t want to wait to seek Your face

before bedtime
at lunch
midmorning.

That’s not soon enough.
Too much happens before then.

By then I may have headed down the wrong path without knowing it.

I can’t afford that.

In the very first moments of my day

I want it to become

Your day.

I struggle with that “early” part of the scripture. I try to worship God everyday, but it doesn’t necessarily come in the “eary morning”
