Jul 14, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pure devotion:
“No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.”
(John 1:18)
Wow.
This is as straightforward as it gets, Jesus:
You are God.
Within these 22 words You reveal more of who You really are than most preachers do in 22,000 words.
Nobody has ever seen You in Your purest essence – as You really are.
Obviously, those who believe they’ve seen You
have seen only a representation of You
not You, Yourself.
With the exception of anyone who ever saw You, Jesus!
You are “God the One and Only.”
So is Your Father –
and You are at his side!
One of the reasons You came to earth
was to make Your Father known.
So if You’re God…
and Your Father is God…
and there’s only one God…
then You and the Father are one.
Got it.

Just reading this passage this morning and thinking of how indespensable Christ is for us and decided to go back to this Lazaroo to post … Col 2:8-10
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority
