Stop and consider as you pray this Lazaroo:
“When Herod realized that he had been outwitted…”
(Matthew 2:16)
Talk about a sinking feeling in his stomach, Jesus.
He was the king.
He wanted people to think he was smarter than everyone.
But he wasn’t.
No king is.
There’s always some little nobody out there in the kingdom
who’s 40 I.Q. points higher
who can make the king feel like a fool.
I’ve been outwitted enough on my own, Father
to admit that my only hope
is You.
