Lazaroo – Thursday, June 28, 2012
Jun 28, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in utter awe:
“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, in order that you may know…his incomparably great power for us who believe.”
(Ephesians 1:18-19)
I love that word, “incomparable,” Jesus.
No power in heaven or on earth
can compare to the power You employ
for me.
Because I declare my belief in You
and mean it
(which means I stick by it)
You devote the full exercise of Your power
to helping me become everything You created me to be.
There are impressive displays of power all around me:
weightlifters
ocean liners
hurricanes
armies
sunspots
heads of state
earthquakes
atomic bombs
tsunamis
gravity
tornadoes
black holes.
But none can compare to the power required
to transform me
from lost to found
from death to life
from hell to heaven
from eternal death to eternal life
from sinner
to saint.
