Lazaroo – Thursday, March 13, 2014

Mar 13, 2014 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with over-the-top trust:

“In his winepress the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.”
(Lamentations 1:15)

That’s one of the hardest realities for me to grasp, Jesus.

Sometimes You hurt Your own people

or allow others to do so
while You stand by and watch.

That doesn’t easily square with my concept of You

But You’re God.
You don’t change.

It’s my concept of You that has to change, isn’t it?

To trust You.
Not second-guess You.

To realize that You love me enough to cause me pain

when I need it

to become the amazing person You’ve created me to be.

  1. Robert Weldon Says:

This is a difficult subject for any caring human to understand and go on faith that the Lord is letting this happen for a reason. I see suffering throughout the world, atrocities such as genocide, starvation and on & on. This happens even within our own families with health issues. I do grapple with this one. How can God, whom we are supposed to love unequivocally, allow this? He can change it with a thought.
