Lazaroo – Thursday, March 7, 2013
Mar 07, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pure devotion:
“Now some Pharisees who had been sent questioned him, ‘Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?’ ‘I baptize with water,’ John replied, ‘but among you stands one you do not know.’”
(John 1:24-26)
What a powerful example, Jesus!
The religionists of John’s day
were missing the whole point.
John wasn’t the issue –
nor was his right to baptize.
It didn’t matter what they thought of him.
What mattered…
is what they thought of You.
Too often, I allow myself to become distracted by divisive issues –
theological positions held by true believers –
those who honor You as LORD
who believe every word of the Bible
who would give their lives for You.
While I’m debating these disputable matters
people are dying and going to hell.
It’s time for me to rethink my priorities
and make the First Thing
the first thing.

Profound and very needed. Some are called to be watchmen on the wall. But what is most needful is proclaiming the gospel. Thank you
