Lazaroo – Thursday, May 10, 2012

May 10, 2012 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with overflowing gratitude:

“May your blessing be on your people.”
(Psalms 3:8)

This thing called “blessing,” Jesus…

it’s not some ancient meaningless saying, is it?

It’s real.

You actually bless Your people –
treating me better than my actions deserve.

Again and again
You bring good things into my life –

things I never saw coming.

But it gets even better.

As Your child, I can ask You to bless others –

and You will!

If I choose to do so…

every time I walk through the door of my home
I can bless all who live there.

I can bless the people in my church
I can bless the people in my

neighborhood
city
nation.

But then You stretch me like a rubber band

when You challenge me to bless those who mistreat me.

Of course, if I obey You in that – demonstrating my trust in You –

You promise to bless me even more.
