Lazaroo – Thursday, May 2, 2013

May 02, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Humbly pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:

“I will shake all nations…”
(Haggai 2:7)

Wow, Jesus.

If that’s true –
and I know it is, ‘cause You said it –

You’re the One Who’s working behind

international headlines

‘cause there’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on.

Of course, they don’t want to believe it.
Nations have a way of getting proud

waving flags
building armies
stockpiling bombs
touting our cultures.

When something shakes us to our core –

an attack
a natural disaster
an internal meltdown

we want to think it’s merely of human origin

an environmental anomaly
something that can be planned for
worked around
avoided next time
easily fixed.

Sometimes it is.

But when it’s You…
there’s not one blessed thing any of us can do.

You have a way

of getting Your way.

When You lift Your spear

You’re able to make Your point.

And my country
isn’t exempt.

Genesis 1:4; Exodus 10:21-23; Psalms 55:22-23; Psalms 56:4-7; Psalms 75:6-7; Isaiah 31:1-3; Isaiah 45:5-12; Lamentations 3:37-38; Acts 4:23-26; Acts 17:24-31

What is Lazaroo?

I would like to think that “my” country will never be “shaken” but that’s not what Scripture says! Thanks Pastor Steve for bringing this to my attention.
