Lazaroo – Thursday, May 26, 2011

May 26, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with grateful wonder:

“The Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh had 44,760 men ready for military service—able-bodied men who could handle shield and sword, who could use a bow, and who were trained for battle.”
(1Chronicles 5:18)

You don’t need armies, Jesus

but You use ‘em.

You can defeat vast hordes of the enemy with a single word

or by sending one of Your angels to wipe them out.

But I have to wonder:

Do You get even greater pleasure
when You do extraordinary things
through ordinary people

like me?

You’re all-powerful.
It would be easier to do everything Yourself.

A stunning miracle to me
is only normal for You.

To the God who can do anything
it’s no big deal.

But because I’m all too aware of my

sins
weaknesses
limitations

when You do something special through me

it feels like I’m witnessing Your greatest miracle of all.

Isn’t that the truth! Great big, awesome God, Creator of all that is, was and evermore shall be, whose greatness we can’t fathom … using ME to touch others on his behalf? Whoa!!
