You do a lot of things that look foolish, Jesus…

at first.

Things like –

allowing Your enemies to frame and crucify You

…until You rose in triumph on the third day

trusting a tiny handful of Your flawed followers
to take Your gospel to the whole world…

…until, after 2,000 years of love, faithfulness and sacrifice
there are two billion people who claim You as Savior –
and counting…

allowing doubters, haters, atheists, agnostics
to ridicule You and Your Word

…until facts, science and world events
keep proving You 100% right

giving an habitual offender another chance…

…until he stuns everyone with his turnaround

calling me – of all people! – to put my trust in You
patiently enduring my sins and mistakes beyond counting

…until I finally grow up

quit messing around

and once again…prove You right.
