Lazaroo – Thursday, October 13, 2011

Oct 13, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from a spirit of respect for each person God has created:

“He sent dispatches to all parts of the kingdom, to each province in its own script and to each people in its own language, proclaiming in each people’s tongue…”
(Esther 1:22)

I love this, Jesus.

Here’s a flawed king who has one redeeming characteristic:

He recognizes that if he wants to get his message across
he’s going to have to share it in the languages other people speak –

not just his own.

That’s easier said than done.

I’m tempted to think:

If they want what I’ve got
they can come to me and get it.

But that’s not what You did, is it Jesus?

You left heaven and became a person like me
to say it in my language:

You love me!

I’ve got to follow Your example and share the good news of Your salvation with people very different from me…

in whatever form they require…

to understand.
