Lazaroo – Tuesday, January 25, 2011
Jan 25, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Allow God’s affection for His people to flow through you as you pray this Lazaroo aloud:
“Your love has given me great joy…”
(Philemon 1:7)
Fascinating.
Here’s Paul coaching this house church pastor
challenging him to do the right thing…
and right in the middle of instructing him
he experiences a warm fuzzy –
a strong rush of emotion
a piercing sensation of gratitude for this leader and his faithful service.
Help me learn from this glimpse into Paul’s heart, Jesus!
Although he was dealing with his dear friend about a difficult matter
calling on him to do something he suspected he might not want to hear
he didn’t block out his love for him.
He let You remind him of this man’s faithful service
allowed himself to feel Your affection for him
took a very real risk – the risk of having his motives questioned –
and openly expressed his love for him.
Give me Your courage to do the same.

RM Says:
Yes it is sad to think how many times we block the Holy Spirit because we lack courage or put our pride first. At first reading I thought oh how could we resist the Holy Spirit? But we have free choice and pride, but not much courage.
