Lazaroo – Tuesday, July 12, 2011
Jul 12, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with unshakable faith:
“Zechariah asked the angel, ‘How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.’”
(Luke 1:18)
These were good people, Jesus.
You Yourself said they were upright –
they obeyed You blamelessly.
And yet…
when an angel comes to them with phenomenally good news
Zechariah struggles to accept it
because it’s physically impossible.
On the one hand, that makes no sense.
He obviously believes in You.
He knows You’re God – that You can do anything!
He and his wife have staked their whole lives on that truth.
But when push comes to shove
his everyday, commonsense, practical side gets the best of him
and he just can’t believe You would work such a miracle
for him.
I struggle with that too, LORD
but I need Your miraculous intervention so desperately
I’m not gonna let go
till You bless me.

I travel through that doubt also .. especially seeing how things are changing in our nation. I find myself worrying over my children and grandchildren and feel that they won’t have the life that we in the United States have been blessed with – unless there is an intervention. But then I know nothing happens unless He allows it .. and God can do all things .. and will take care of HIS children in His way and in His time. But I won’t let go either .. I keep praying for Him to heal our land.
