Lazaroo – Tuesday, October 4, 2011

Oct 04, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Settle down in total trust, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:

“…we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way…”
(Colossians 1:10)

That’s going to take a heap of prayer, Jesus.

How am I going to please You in every way?

I’m still working on pleasing You in just one or two ways –
deliberately focusing on those areas where I’m strongest.

How could I ever begin to please You
where I’m weakest?

Still…You’re the God who can do anything.

If You speak it –

it happens.

But maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree.
Maybe it’s not perfection that pleases You.

After all, You can – and do – create perfection anytime You wish.

So what is it about me –

sin-ridden, deeply flawed, far-from-perfect me –

that could possibly please You in every way?

Unless it’s the same thing that pleases any Godly parent –

seeing me give You everything I’ve got.

Yes I think that is it! We forget His has made us exactly the way we are .. and now He is watching to see what we can and will do with “all” or as “little” as He has given us. We have been created to be in His Family Forever. He has Great plans for us. I don’t want to fail Him. And with His Word and the Holy Spirit I pray I live up to His expectations.
